Love Stories:
Missouri + Casey’s

The romance blooming between Casey’s and Joplin, Missouri is one that will melt your heart. Casey’s convenience stores fell in love with Joplin’s prime location — close to interstates 44 and 49 — and built a new $62 million distribution facility there to serve hundreds of Casey’s stores across the Midwest.

In turn, Missouri fell in love with Casey’s commitment to small towns and rural communities. More than half of Casey’s stores are in communities with fewer than 5,000 with limited access to national-chain grocery or convenience stores. For many of these towns, Casey’s is the only nearby place to get fresh, prepared food.

Together, the happy couple is helping each other grow. Missouri residents get access to new jobs and fresh foods. And Casey’s gets more control of its supply chain, cuts operating expenses by more than $400,000 per month, and reduces the miles it drives by approximately 1.8 million per year.
