When Google needed a new $1 billion data center, the tech giant searched for a state it could click with, leading them to Missouri.

Google publicly declared its love for Kansas City in March 2024. The company wasn’t shy about why they selected Missouri, citing the resources, talent, and welcoming spirit of the Kansas City community as top reasons for landing in the state. Google plans to grow its Google Cloud and AI innovations in the heart of the Midwest.

With a huge investment of $1 billion in a new facility in Missouri, it’s clear Missouri and Google double-click.
