Global building materials company James Hardie has fallen in love with one Missouri county’s spirit, drive, and passion for manufacturing. Now they’re taking the relationship to the next level. The company is building a 1.25 million sq. ft. manufacturing facility in the Jefferson County town of Crystal City, where it will produce its popular Hardie fiber cement siding, soffit, and trim products to fulfill orders from around the world.
This kind of love is a win-win for both sides. James Hardie gets to build its largest location in the world knowing it can draw from the area’s trained workforce for labor. And people living near the new facility will be eligible for hundreds of high-quality jobs and set their families up for generational job opportunities at the largest global manufacturer of fiber cement products for decades to come.
